The Schuster and Mick Law office was founded in 1978. In 2024 Hillary Friedmann joined the practice and it is now Schuster, Mick & Friedmann.

Mike is a member of the Iowa and Clayton County Bar Associations and has been since 1974. Mr. Schuster is the Guttenberg City Attorney and also represents several other small cities in Northeast Iowa.
Mike has been an active member of the Guttenberg and Clayton County communities serving as an Officer and Director of both the Guttenberg Rotary Club and Guttenberg Economic Industrial Development Committee. Mike has served on the Clayton County Board of Health, the Kids Kampus Board of Directors, and the Northeast Iowa Housing Trust Fund Board of Directors. He has been a long-term member of the Clayton County Civil Service Commission.
